Susanna and her awesome husband/business partner Joe, are a photography team living in Italy, honored to be a part of documenting its unscathed landscapes and the people who give it the motto "La Dolce Vita."
Susanna's first photography assignment was at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain, documenting the adventures of a high-school dance team chosen to serve as American ambassadors at the Games. Her official journalism career started the day after she graduated from Auburn University, as a production assistant for CNN in Atlanta.
After several years, Susanna made her way to New York City, where she was a producer for CBS/Kingworld, eventually making her way back to CNN, this time working on the business side from the then brand new Time Warner Center in NYC. The desire to be in front of the camera as a correspondent, instead of the behind the scenes producer and salesman, led her to her birthplace of Columbus, Georgia, where she met her amazing husband, a Ranger with the 75th Ranger Regiment at Fort Benning.
Joe, born in Cairo, Egypt, grew up in several different countries before the ripe age of 14. Joining the American Army (from his Mother's home in Brazil), Joe quickly climbed the NCO ranks, winning title after title in sniper competitions throughout the military. Nine deployments on top of a relentless spirit, led Joe to his early retirement.
It was only a few years ago that the couple launched their photography team and moved to Italy.
When Susanna and Joe aren't creating photos, you'll find them traveling around with their three pound puppies, Bandit, Max and Manny, living up the expat life and just trying to make a small difference on this big marble.
Susanna and Joe are members of the Professional Photographers of America.
